I’m a happy father of one in Nova Scotia, have a wonderful wife and have a love of beer and food.  I’ve always been at home in the kitchen or in front of a grill.  Over the past few years, I’ve really developed a few hobbies worthy of sharing: grilled food, craft beer and low and slow BBQ.

From the first smoked picnic ‘ham’ done on the rotisserie on the gas grill I was hooked – the taste of smoke with food triggers something deep within the human brain, back to a time when all foods were cooked over an open fire, smoke wafting through the air, permeating the food.  And, what goes better with that primal flavor than a great beverage made from malted barley, yeast, hops and water.

Through this blog, I hope to share some of those BBQ, grilling and brewing experiences.

  1. I like your blog sir. Very nice. A salute to the good things in life. You never know what you’re going to stumble onto as you poke around the blogosphere, but some sites your glad you did. This is one of them.

  2. Question about your double oatmeal stout from FestaBrew
I currently have it in my primary (which it will stay until I bottle it)
How much priming sugar did you add? I also want a low level carbonation and was thinking of adding 1cup of sugar just before bottling. Do you agree? do you remember how much you added?
